Bloor in Bloom Garden Competition – is your garden prize worthy?  

Your Bloor Gardens have been inspiring us this month! The way you have been using the space is so varied and creative we would love to show more of our homeowners these beautiful spaces and celebrate your hard work.  

So, we are launching a garden competition; with 3 exciting categories which should suit all outdoor enthusiasts with three £100 B&Q vouchers up for grabs for the greenest of fingers!  

The Competition Categories 

Best for BBQ – this is for those sociable gardens, designed for entertaining and getting the neighbours round for sizzling BBQs and beverages. The winner of this competition may not have an actual BBQ (so please don’t feel you have to buy one!) we will be looking at the space, seating area, lighting, the balance of plants and patio and any other sociable additions! Enter using hashtag #bloorbestbbq 

 
Best for Bees – Biodiversity in the garden is essential for the environment, so we are excited to celebrate those homeowners who have filled their space with bee and bug friendly plant life. We are looking for luscious green lawns, or better yet a wildflower meadow in your back garden! Flowers and shrubs the bugs love, bee hotels, worm farms, bird boxes and bird tables. Anything that attracts nature to your garden! Enter using hashtag #bloorbestforbees 

 
Best Bloor Bloom – this one is all about the detail. If you haven’t planned your bee garden yet or have not had time to set up the perfect sun trap you can still enter. If you have one tub of beautiful tulips, one giant sunflower or a happy herb box you can still enter. Tell us about your favourite garden details and your big plans! Enter using hashtag #bloorbestinbloom 

How to Enter the Competition  

Keen to get involved? Then it’s time to get the gardening gloves off and get your entry in.  

All you must do to be in with a chance of winning is post a photo or reel of your Bloor Garden using the hashtags for the category you want to enter eg; #bloorbestbbq #bloorbestforbees #bloorbestinbloom 

The competition will run for 8 weeks, through May and June. At the end of June, we will be selecting a shortlist for each of the categories listed above. This shortlist will consist of ten images, one for each entry. We will then post these in carousel format to the page and a public vote using emoji will select the winner! 

Terms and Conditions 

  • This competition is open to UK Bloor Homes residents only and you must be 18 years or older to enter.  
  • The competition is closed to employees of Bloor Homes and their close relatives, and anyone otherwise connected with the organisation. 
  • Automated or bulk entries from third parties will be disqualified. 
  • Homeowners can enter multiple categories, but only one entry per category.  
  • The competition will run for 8 weeks starting on 5th May 2022 and ending on 30th June 2022 at midnight.  The winners will be announced w/c 4th July.  
  • The entries will be shortlisted by category and the winners chosen by the Instagram audience who will vote for their favourites. The winners will be informed of their win by direct message via Instagram and will be asked to provide contact details for their prize. The winner might also be contacted by the Bloor Homes PR team. 
  • By entering the competition, you are giving Bloor Homes permission to use your images/reels across their social media and offline marketing materials. 
  • The prizes are 3 x B&Q gardening vouchers. 
  • The shortlist for each category will be chosen by Bloor Homes Marketing Dept based on merits within each category.   
  • The winners will be chosen from the shortlist, by the Instagram audience votes.  
  • The prize is non-transferable, non-refundable, and cannot be exchanged for any cash alternatives in whole or in part.
